Prince Carl Philip and Crown Prince Haakon visit NATO’s Cold Response exercise

Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway visited the NATO Cold Response exercise.

According to the official website, “Cold Response 2026 is a Norwegian-led international exercise focusing on strengthening the joint defence capability within NATO and developing cooperation in the Arctic.”

Prince Carl Philip visited the exercise last week, just as it was starting.

Prince Carl Philip visited the air combat command and followed a flight pass from the ground. He was also shown a helicopter 14.

Crown Prince Haakon of Norway visited the Camp Viking earlier this week.

Crown Prince Haakon received a briefing from the British Commanding Officer of the Commando Logistics Regiment. He visited a display in a hangar where several units presented their equipment and capabilities.

Reporters asked the Crown Prince to comment on his wife’s connections with Jeffrey Epstein, but he told them, “All those matters will be discussed later. Let us now focus on today’s topic, namely the military exercise here in the north.”

About his visit, he said, “I noticed that there is an incredible amount of expertise within the Norwegian Armed Forces. I find it very positive to talk to the soldiers there. They are doing good work.”
