The Prince of Wales and Prince George travelled to Barcelona to take in a Champions League game.

Princes William and George were in Barcelona to watch their beloved Aston Villa take on FC Barcelona in the Champions League on a rainy Tuesday evening.

Donning rain jackets, the father-son duo watched the home team defeat Aston Villa 3-0 at Spotify Camp Nou.

Ahead of the match, FC Barcelona confirmed that the first and second in line to the British throne would be in attendance. They wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “FC Barcelona is honoured to welcome His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and His Royal Highness Prince George to the Spotify Camp Nou. Thank you for joining us for a special evening of Champions League football featuring your beloved Aston Villa.”

The Prince of Wales and Prince George flew to Spain for the match while George is on his half-term break from Eton College, where he began studying in September of this year.

Prince William has been a lifelong Aston Villa fan, and that has passed on to his eldest child, with William remarking once that George is “part of the pride” (phrase used in relation to Aston Villa fans).
