Crown Princess Victoria and her family celebrated her name day in the Inner Courtyard of Stockholm Palace on 12 March.
The Armed Forces honoured the heir to the throne with the annual celebration of the Crown Princess in Stockholm.
Victoria was joined by her husband, Prince Daniel, and their two children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar for the event that saw participation from the Honour Guards from the Life Guard, High Guard from Life Regiment Hussars K 3, and the Army’s music band.
Members of the Armed Forces performed for the Crown Princess Family and presented their future monarch with flowers before Lieutenant Colonel Marcus Appelgren from the Victoria Battalion presented Her Royal Highness with a photo album of images from the past few years with the battalion.
The Crown Princess also met members of the public who braved the cold to help celebrate her.
Crown Princess Victoria is honoured on the island of Oland on her birthday, 14 July, each year. In Sweden, the name Victoria is celebrated each year on 12 March in honour of Princess Viktoria of Baden’s engagement to the future King Gustaf V of Sweden.
It has been marked as a way to honour the future Queen of Sweden since the 1990s.
Crown Princess Victoria is currently serving as Regent in Sweden as her father, King Carl Gustaf, and mother, Queen Silvia, are on a state visit to Mexico.
