It’s normal to see celebrities and politicians at the Super Bowl each year in the United States, but what is not normal is to see royals taking in the game.
It is the biggest American football game of the year, with watch parties and bets across the United States, and Prince Albert of Monaco did not want to miss out on the action.
Albert attended the game alongside Monaco’s Ambassador to the United States, Maguy Maccario Doyle, and US President Donald Trump. Sitting in one of the suites in the stadium, Albert was seen respectfully standing for the US national anthem. He later took a photo with the Ambassador and President in the Caesars Superdome.
The Ambassador to the US said the Prince and President shared a love of sports and camaraderie.

The Sovereign Prince has a connection to the winning Philadelphia Eagles. Albert’s mother, Princess Grace, was born Grace Kelly in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In fact, Albert was born with dual US/Monaco citizenship; however, the future ruler of Monaco renounced his American citizenship at the age of 21.
Prince Albert spent a lot of time with his maternal family in Philadelphia growing up and bought his mother’s childhood home a few years ago in the city.
Prince Albert isn’t the first royal to attend the Super Bowl. Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie attended the 2022 game in California between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals.
