Crown Prince Christian of Denmark has begun his military training.

The Crown Prince arrived at the Guard Hussar Regiment in Slagelse on 3 February. He arrived in a navy jacket, jeans, and sneakers.

Christian, 19, will receive basic training with the Guard Hussar Regiment for four months.

The Danish media has said that the first two weeks of training are the hardest. However, the Crown Prince told the media gathered that he was looking forward to beginning his training.

Crown Prince Christian follows in the footsteps of his grandmother, Queen Margrethe, and father, King Frederik. King Frederik, in particular, underwent training with Denmark’s elite special naval forces, the Frømandskorpset.
