Crown Prince Mohammed of Saudi Arabia has pulled out of the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Crown Prince, commonly known by his initials of MBS, has sent the Saudi Foreign Minister in his place.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah travelled 14 hours by plane to South America to represent Saudi Arabia.

MBS reportedly pulled out due to a chronic ear condition that he feared could be worsened by the long flight.

However, the Saudi Royal Court has not given an official reason for the Crown Prince pulling out of the event.

He did attend the event last year in India.

The G20 Summit is taking place in Brazil from 18-19 November with heads of state from all across the globe in attendance, including outgoing US President Joe Biden.
