Queen Letizia attends water polo final

Queen Letizia of Spain attended the final of the XXIX Copa de SM la Reina Iberdrola Waterpolo in Palma de Mallorca.

The Queen was in attendance on 9 March to present the trophy to the winner of the XXIX Copa de SM la Reina Iberdrola Waterpolo Final between CN Sant Andreu and Astralpool CN Sabadell.

Her Majesty sat in the box to watch the final, which began with the Spanish National Anthem and a moment of silence in tribute to national team player, Oscar Rey.

CN Sant Andreu won 17-13, and the Queen was on hand in the awards area to hand out the trophies.

Queen Letizia handed out individual trophies to the best goalkeeper, Martina Terré, and the most valuable player, Paula Crespí.

She and the President of the Spanish Swimming Federation then presented the trophy to the captain of CN Sant Andreu.
