Princess Astrid admitted to hospital

Princess Astrid of Norway has been admitted to the hospital for heart failure.

The Princess was admitted to the Rikshospitalet.

She had a temporary pacemaker inserted today.

According to the press release, Princess Astrid “wishes to convey that she is in the best of hands. She will remain at Rikshospitalet for some time to come.”

Princess Astrid had only recently returned to her royal duties following a bout of pneumonia, which also required hospitalisation.

Princess Astrid is the older sister of King Harald V of Norway.
