Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden’s newborn daughter has received her name.

The name and her dukedom were announced during a cabinet meeting earlier today.

Her name is Princess Ines Marie Lilian Silvia, and she will be Duchess of Västerbotten.

Sofia gave birth to a girl yesterday at 1.10 P.M. at Danderyd Hospital with Prince Carl Philip by her side. The infant weighs 3645 grams and is 49 cm long.

“We are happy to welcome our newborn daughter into the world. The big brothers are now looking forward to getting to know their new little sister,” said Prince Carl Philip.

The royal baby is eighth in the line of succession but does not hold the style of Royal Highness. Only the children of Crown Princess Victoria hold the styles of Royal Highness as they are in the direct line of succession.

Sweden’s newest royal has three older brothers: Prince Alexander (8), Prince Gabriel (7) and Prince Julian (3).
