Crown Princess Couple of Sweden attends memorial for shooting victims

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden have attended a Mass for the victims of the school shooting in Örebro.

Their Royal Highnesses were at Längbro Church in Örebro to honour the victims of the school shooting at Risbergska School, where at least 11 were killed.

The royals attended the Mass alongside Archbishop Martin Modéus, Bishop Johan Dalman, and State Councilor Elisabeth Svantesson, among others.

The service was aired on SVT and Sveriges Radio.

After the memorial service, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, who was born in Örebro, laid flowers at the memorial site.

An emotional Crown Princess also spoke to the media about why she and her husband travelled to Örebro, “It feels important to be there and to have a moment of silence and words of light. I hope all those affected feel that all of Sweden is pulling together and that we want to be there.”
