Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar of Sweden are preparing to welcome their royal godparents to Sweden.

The Swedish Royal Court shared a photo of the siblings making Danish flags to welcome King Frederik and Queen Mary to Stockholm.

King Frederik is one of Prince Oscar’s godfathers, while Queen Mary is a godmother to Princess Estelle. Estelle and Mary have another special bond – one of Estelle’s middle names is Mary in honour of the Danish Queen.

King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark will undertake a state visit to Sweden from 6 to 7 May. They will arrive on the royal yacht, the Dannebrog on Monday morning.

This will be the couple’s first state visit since ascending the throne in January upon the abdication of Frederik’s mother, Queen Margrethe.
