Queen Mary of Denmark hosted the Ukrainian First Lady Olena Volodymyrivna Zelenska at Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg.
They were joined by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s husband, Bo Tengberg.
Later on social media, the First Lady wrote about her meeting on X with Queen Mary saying she “was honoured to meet Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark. Expressed gratitude to the entire royal family for drawing attention to [Ukraine], amplifying our voice.”
She also posted on Instagram about Mary: “Like her entire family, the Queen of Denmark is active in public activity, including patronising over 30 organisations, including humanitarian aid, healthcare, women’s rights [sic].
“Grateful to the Royal Family for having Denmark as one of our largest and most reliable partners in all endeavours.”
Mrs Zelenskka also met the Prime Minister during her trip to Denmark and praised the support Denmark continues to provide to Ukraine. The First Lady was in Denmark in connection with the Danish government’s Ukraine Investment Forum at Industriens Hus.
The main purpose of the forum is to bring Danish companies together who want to assist in rebuilding Ukraine.
