The Prince of Wales is set to take on new patronages.

Kensington Palace has announced that Prince William was taking on several new patronages.

The Prince is “pleased to take on a number of new patronages, which reflect His Royal Highness’s new roles and responsibilities in Wales and as Duke of Cornwall.”

Prince William will become the patron of the Welsh Guards Charity, the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association and the President of the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association.

In addition, the Prince of Wales will become patron of the Football Association and Fields in Trust after serving as president of the organisation.

Kensington Palace stressed that William is dedicated “to using his platform to improve the lives of others and chooses to focus his charitable associations on the issues he is most passionate about.”

The Welsh Guards Charity supports the Regiment, the Battalion and Welsh Guardsmen of all ranks. The Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association supports Cornwall’s agriculture, innovation and development. The Victoria Cross and George Cross Association represents the living holders of the Victoria and George Cross.
