Queen Camilla has pulled out of this evening’s Royal Variety Performance for health reasons.

The Queen, who has been battling a chest infection, has withdrawn from the event on medical advice.

According to a Buckingham Palace spokesperson, “Following a recent chest infection, the Queen continues to experience some lingering post-viral symptoms, as a result of which doctors have advised that, after a busy week of engagements, Her Majesty should prioritise sufficient rest.”

They added: “With great regret, she has therefore withdrawn from attendance at tonight’s Royal Variety Performance. His Majesty will attend as planned.”

Queen Camilla is said to hope she will be back to royal duties soon.
