Kensington Palace has released a new statement on the health of the Princess of Wales.

A spokesperson said: “Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the Princess’s recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates. That guidance stands.”

They added that Catherine is “doing well” after her planned abdominal surgery in January that saw her spend nearly two weeks in hospital.

The statement’s release comes after unfounded rumours took over social media.

The rumours only got worse after the Prince of Wales had to pull out of the Thanksgiving Service at St George’s Chapel for his godfather, King Constantine, for unknown “personal reasons.”

Sources stressed at the time that it had nothing to do with the Princess of Wales and her recovery.

The Princess of Wales underwent a planned abdominal surgery in mid-January with Kensington Palace saying she would most likely not return to public duties until after Easter.
