Princess Elisabeth of Belgium has graduated from Oxford.

The Duchess of Brabant graduated from Lincoln College at Oxford on 23 July with a bachelor’s degree in History and Politics.

King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eleonore were at the ceremony at the Sheldonian Theatre.

Princess Elisabeth, 22, told the press after her graduation: “There really is no better place to study history than here in Oxford.”

Speaking in French and Dutch, the heir to the Belgian throne told the media: “Thank you for coming to celebrate this special day with me.”

The Belgian Royal Palace later shared images of the Princess and her family from the event on social media.

The Belgian heir has completed her three-year course in the United Kingdom and is set to begin classes at the Harvard Kennedy School at Harvard University in the autumn.

She will study in Boston for two years to obtain a master’s degree in public policy.
