King Charles led the Royal Family at the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The King was joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Royal and Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke of Kent, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

Queen Camilla was unable to attend as she is still battling a chest infection.

This was the first major royal appearance for the Princess of Wales since she announced she had completed her preventative chemotherapy in September.

The Royal Family attends the annual concert each November ahead of Remembrance Sunday. This year’s performances included Sir Tom Jones performing “I Won’t Crumble With You If I Fall” with the band of the Royal Air Force. The attendees also later sang the hymn “Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer.”

King Charles, who received a standing ovation upon arrival, is the Patron of the Royal British Legion.

The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall honours the service and sacrifice of British and Commonwealth Armed Forces each year.
