The Duchess of Edinburgh joined Chelsea Pensioners for their weekly bingo night at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
The bingo on Tuesday night at the Chelsea Pensioners Club is a cherished tradition that helps to challenge loneliness and improve mental well-being.
Sophie spoke with several pensioners and was introduced to the bingo players by Ted Fell, 86, who served with the Royal Artillery.
The club also has a licensed bar, a game room and a reading room, which are all part of the Royal Hospital Chelsea’s social hub. The hospital is home to almost 300 people who previously served in the British Army.
