The Prince and Princess of Wales have visited the Isles of Mull and Iona. While in Scotland, they were known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.

On the first day, William and Catherine travelled to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, where they visited a community hub and an artisan market.

The community hub is the home of the island’s only soft play area for children and the Community Fridge. While there, the Duke and Duchess announced a new partnership to develop two community spaces across Mull. They then visited Croft 3, which uses sustainable production.

On the second and final day of their visit, the Duke and Duchess went to meet the Mull and Iona Ranger Service to learn about their vital role in conservation.

They joined the Ardura Acorns, which is one of the only early-years outdoor learning play groups on the island.

While there, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales announced support for the Mull and Iona Ranger Service to ensure their important work conserving and championing nature can continue.

At the final engagement, William and Catherine took a public ferry to the Isle of Iona and met with those who operate the ferry service and people who use it. Residents are dependent on the ferry for a connection to the islands and the mainland.
