The Duchess of Edinburgh is in Colombia at the request of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
Her four-day visit will take her to Bogotá and Cali for the Women, Peace and Security Agenda. Her work to champion the survivors of conflict-related sexual violence and the rights of women and girls will continue here.

In Bogotá, she attended a meeting with Francia Márquez, he Vice President of Colombia. She is also the Minister of Equality and Equity. Afterwards, she visited the Centre for Memory, Peace and Reconciliation, where she met women impacted by armed conflicts. The Centre was previously visited by the future King Charles in 2014.
The Duchess attended a roundtable discussion with women from the Columbian Armed Forces to hear about their work for the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
