King Frederik and Queen Mary have announced plans for their 2025 summer cruise on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog.

The King and Queen will sail on the royal yacht from 25-28 August.

Their Majesties will begin their cruise in Frederikshavn before docking in Thisted on 26 August and Læsø on 27 August.

The King and Queen are continuing a long tradition of the Danish monarch travelling around Denmark in the summer on the yacht. The tradition dates back to King Christian X.

The Dannebrog is also responsible for training future officers of the military. According to the Danish Royal House, “Over time, the Royal Ship Dannebrog has trained more than 3,400 conscripts and sailed over 800,000 nautical miles.”

Further details will be released in due course.
