A confused woman has been found asleep in the Royal Palace in Brussels. The incident took place last week.
The woman was found in one of the made-up rooms in King Philippe’s working palace and was arrested on the spot. The 46-year-old woman spoke Spanish and was taken to a hospital in Brussels. The police investigated how the woman was able to enter the palace but have not released any further details.
However, measures have been taken to prevent reoccurrence.
The Belgian royals will not be pressing charges against the woman, a spokeswoman told ANP, as “no malice” was intended.
