King Frederik of Denmark has visited Greenland.
King Frederik arrived at Nuuk Airport on Wednesday, where he was received by the President of Naalakkersuisut, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, and the President of Inatsisartut, Kim Kielsen. He was invited for lunch at Hans Egede’s House with the President before touring a high school in Nuuk. In Nuuk harbour, he met students from the Arctic Basic Training. He then visited the Arctic Command headquarters in Nuuk and had a traditional coffee meeting in the Katuaq cultural centre.

On the second day, King Frederik travelled to Maniitsoq Airport, where he was received by 1st Deputy Mayor Gideon Lyberth from Qeqqata Municipality. His first order of the day was to have lunch with the municipal council. He was then shown around the city of Maniitsoq and met with citizens. He then visited the Maniitsoq Lodges, which is run by young entrepreneurs. Another coffee meeting took place in the community centre in Maniitsoq.
At the end of the day, he headed to Kangerlussuaq, where he met with citizens in the Multihuset in the YMCA’s soldiers’ home in Kangerlussuaq.
On the third and final day, he visited the Arctic Basic Education in Kangerlussuaq and their camp.
