Queen Camilla was in Bath to celebrate the 850th anniversary of the St John’s Foundation.
St John’s is considered one of the United Kingdom’s oldest charities. It works to change lives for the better in Bath and the area.
Queen Camilla joined residents of St John’s Foundation’s almshouses for tea at the 16th Century Chapel of St Michael Within. They provide support for older adults but also work with children to make sure they have the best start in life. Queen Camilla became Patron of the charity in 2009.
She was welcomed in the centre of Bath by almost 900 schoolchildren from seven schools, which have received support from St John’s since the launch of the Foundation Fund in 2020.
Inside Bath Abbey, Camilla attended a Service of Celebration.
