Belgian royals visit Olympic Village

King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and Princess Eléonore of Belgium visited the Belgian athletes at the Olympic Village in Italy.

The King and Queen and their youngest child are in Milan to cheer on Belgian athletes at the Winter Olympics, and they travelled to Olympic Village to spend time with them outside the competitions.

The royals attended sporting events on Friday, 20 February and were at Olympic Village to show support on Saturday, 21 February.

Their Majesties and Her Royal Highness spoke to the athletes and even took in a short game of table tennis. The King was seen facing off against a member of Team Belgium while others looked on.


The King, Queen and Princess were photographed holding a bronze medal won by Belgium and later in front of the Olympic rings.

Belgium is currently ranked 29th in the medal count, having won only one bronze medal so far.
