Swedish royals sparkle during Nobel ceremony

King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden awarded the 2023 Nobel Prizes during a ceremony in Stockholm. Only the Nobel Peace Prize is traditionally awarded in Oslo.

Also present were Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia and Princess Christina with her husband.

The ceremony was followed by a banquet in Stockholm’s City Hall.

This year’s winners were Jon Fosse for Literature,  Anne L’Huillier, Pierre Agostini and Ferenc Krausz for physics, Moungi G. Bawendi, Louis E. Brus and Aleksey Yekimov for chemistry, Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman for Physiology or Medicine.
