Queen Silvia of Sweden attended the European Regional Congress on Child Abuse and Neglect.
The congress is being organised in Sweden for the first time. Around 600 experts gathered for the congress, which was organised by ISPCAN, the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.
Queen Silvia opened the congress with a speech. She said, “We have an incredible gathering of brainpower, accumulated knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm here today. Let us harness this collective strength to discover new solutions for preventing violence and supporting children who have been exposed to trauma and other adversities.”
The Queen stayed to listen to the lectures and speak with experts on children’s rights.
