The Princess of Asturias joined her parents, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, for Spain’s National Day celebrations.
They presided over the ceremony of tribute to the National Flag and the following military parade that was held in the Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo. The Parachuting Acrobatic Patrol of the Air Force (PAPEA) came near the tribune with the National Ensign, and a tribute was paid to those who gave their lives for Spain.
They then travelled to the Royal Palace of Madrid, where the traditional National Day reception occurred.
The King and Queen’s youngest daughter, Sofia, was absent as she is studying in Wales.
