The King and Queen of Norway have hosted the Moldovan President for a state visit.
The President of Moldava, Maia Sandu, began her state visit to Norway on Monday with a formal ceremony in the palace square. It is the first time that a Moldovan president has visited Norway.
Crown Prince Haakon was on hand to help with the arrival, as was Crown Princess Mette-Marit. After the welcome, official photographs were taken in the Bird Room, followed by a gift exchange in the Mirror Hall.
As is tradition, the President also placed a wreath at the national monument at Akershus Fortress. Afterwards, she went to the Norwegian Parliament, where she met with the President of the Storting, Masud Gharahkhani.
In the evening, there was a gala dinner at the Royal Palace.
