The event was joined by several government representatives, such as Portugal’s agriculture minister. Portugal joined the agricultural show as a guest of honour.
Prince Moulay Rachid handed out official quality labels to a number of agricultural cooperatives. He later toured the exhibition, including spaces dedicated to livestock production, food safety, and advisory services.
The International Agricultural Show is organised under the patronage of King Mohammed VI and runs from 20 April until 28 April. This year’s theme is “Sustainability of Animal Production and Food Sovereignty.”
The show expects more than 1.1 million visitors, and has over 1,500 exhibitors.
