King Abdullah II of Jordan, as Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), visited the Eastern Military Region Command.
The King checked the operational readiness and the capabilities of the units. He was accompanied by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti.

He received briefings on the Eastern Military Region’s key operational tasks and the recent regional developments. He inspected the operations and control room and received another briefing on the mechanisms for managing field operations. During his visit, the King also held a tele-meeting with the assistant commander of the Task Force “Fahd”.
Afterwards, he toured an exhibition with military vehicles and equipment.
King Abdullah expressed his “pride in the high standards and level of Eastern Military Region personnel, commending the efforts of the JAF in protecting Jordan’s borders and safeguarding its security and stability, and emphasising the importance of continuing to develop defence and technological capabilities.”
