Princess Martha Louise is set to marry her American fiancé, Durek Verrett later this month, but little is known about the nuptials. We break down what we know about the 31 August wedding below.

Pre-wedding events:

Festivities kick off on 29 August with two events. There will be a meet and greet event with a “sexy and cool” dress code in the garden of Hotel 1904. On 30 August, guests will take a boat ride along the Geiranger Fjord to Geiranger village. A Latin American-themed party will follow at Hotel Union.

Location:

The wedding will take place at Hotel Union in Geiranger, western Norway. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Attendees:

A guest list has not been revealed. However, members of the Norwegian Royal Family are expected to be in attendance but don’t expect a royal guest list like the one at the 2023 royal wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan.

Will the public get to see the bride and groom?

The public will be able to see Princess Martha Louise and Durek Verrett once they exit the hotel to greet well-wishers.

A title for Durek Verrett:

The Shaman will not get a title from the King, just like the Princess’s late ex-husband, Ari Behn.

Will the Royal House release any photos?

A few photos with the family are expected to be released by the Royal House; however, all other images will be released by Hello!

Will it be televised?

It will not be televised live. According to the Norwegian news channel, NRK, Netflix has the rights to the wedding. Hello! magazine also has exclusive rights to cover the wedding. Don’t expect to see the entire Norwegian Royal Family in Hello! or on Netflix. The Royal House’s Head of Communications, Guri Varpe, told NRK that the family will refrain from being photographed or filmed.
