Prince Albert and Princess Charlene were joined by Grand Duke Guillaume in a private meeting with European leaders and Pope Leo XIV during the Apostolic Journey to France.
European royals met with Pope Leo XIV yesterday afternoon following the “To the Roots of Europe, for Peace and Unity” meeting, where the Holy Father stressed that the ever pursuit of world peace “must not be confused with a naïve form of pacifism,” per Vatican News.
Following the highly watched meeting, various leaders met to discuss various issues, including the importance of “solid foundation[s] for our societies, enabling us to work more effectively for peace and a reconciled world.”
Grand Duke Guillaume, joined later in the day by Grand Duchess Stephanie, sat alongside Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene as they met their European counterparts.
