Queen Silvia celebrated with church concert

Queen Silvia of Sweden was celebrated with a church concert in Lovö just outside Drottningholm.

The concert was held to mark the Queen’s 80th birthday, which was on 23 December 2023.

King Carl XVI Gustaf joined his wife to hear performances by Lovö’s church and children’s choir, a chamber orchestra and soloist Hillevi Martinpelto.

Queen Silvia, who was presented with flowers when she arrived, made sure to speak to the children who performed and to thank them for their performances.
