King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands has attended the Airborne Memorial on the Ginkel Heath.
The memorial marks the 80th anniversary of Operation Market Garden, and Ginkel Heath was the site of one of the dropzones during the operation.
Before and after the memorial, active service members made parachute jumps in memory of the fallen soldiers.
King Willem-Alexander placed a wreath and later met with the few remaining veterans who had joined the service.
