The Princess of Asturias has received the Medal of the Cortes of Aragon.
The medal is the highest distinction awarded by the autonomous parliament and recognises “the feeling of loyalty and respect towards the Crown and towards the ideal of service that its institution symbolises.”

The day began with a reading of the agreement granting the medal by Carmen Rubio, senior lawyer of the Cortes of Aragon and the president of the Cortes of Aragon, accompanied by the former president. The President of the Cortes pinned the medal on the Princess, and afterwards, she signed the book of honours.
