The Princess of Asturias has received the title of Adoptive Daughter of the city of Zaragoza.
She received the title to “record the city’s affection” for her and to “value what it represents for the Aragonese capital and all of Spain and appreciate its connection with the city”.

She received an official baton from the mayor of Zaragoza. The Princess then met with members of the city council and signed the book of honour. The agreement granting the title was read out in the Reception Hall. Her father received a similar title in 1986.
