The Princess of Orange has announced further education plans in the Netherlands.

Princess Amalia, 21, has almost finished her bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE) at the University of Amsterdam.

Upon completion, she will begin studying for a bachelor’s degree in Dutch law next academic year. She will remain at the University of Amsterdam.

As part of her preparation to one day take the throne, she will also participate in the Defensity College training programme for the next two years. It is a working school programme with the Ministry of Defence, training students to become military reservists.

Due to her recent arm fracture from a horse fall, she can not begin the physical training immediately. According to the Royal House, Amalia “cannot participate in all physical components immediately, she will start after recovery.”

The Royal House also stressed that Princess Amalia’s university studies are considered private.
