The Princess of Wales and Prince George visited RAF Coningsby to mark Armed Forces Day.
Mother and son visited RAF Coningsby on Saturday in Lincolnshire, and Kensington Palace shared a Reel on Instagram from the visit.
Kensington Palace wrote, “Marking Armed Forces Day by reflecting on time spent with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby. Learning about the extraordinary history of these aircraft and meeting the pilots and engineers who keep their legacy alive. A powerful reminder of the courage, skill and dedication of those who serve, past and present. Thank you to all those who have served and continue to serve.”
The video revealed Catherine and George sitting in the cockpit of several historic military aircraft. The pair also learned about the history of the Battle of Britain and what the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) does to preserve its history and promote the current Royal Air Force. The Wales family is no stranger to the Royal Air Force (RAF). The Prince of Wales served in the RAF, and in the early years of his marriage, he worked as a RAF Search and Rescue pilot in Wales.
