Prince Albert of Monaco opened the Grimaldi Historic Sites village alongside his wife, Princess Charlene, and their twins, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.
The Prince of Monaco opened the sixth edition of the village at the Prince’s Palace on Saturday, 14 June.
Over 80 delegates from French territorial communities and 30 Italian associations attended; together, they form the Grimaldi network, which was established by Jean-Claude Guibal a decade ago.

Prince Albert addressed those assembled about what defines Monaco, saying that it is defined by “mobility, environmental sustainability, energy, maritime affairs, and cross-border relations.”
The Princely Palace said about the morning event: “After his speech, the Sovereign presented this year’s commemorative plaques to the eight invited mayors, as well as to the technical services of the municipality of Monaco and Glénat Publishing.”
The Princely Family then received a tour of the village.
It’s been a busy few days for the family. Princess Charlene was out and about with her namesake foundation for Water Safety Day on 17 June. Water safety is a passion for Charlene, who helped teach the children about being smart with water.
She also attended the Women with Purpose lunch on 16 June as part of the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
