King Felipe, Queen Letizia and the Princess of Asturias have attended Armed Forces Day.
The main event was held on Samil Avenue, in Vigo (Pontevedra).

Upon arrival, they were escorted by the Royal Escort Squadron of the Royal Guard. They were then greeted by the President of the Xunta of Galicia, Alfonso Rueda Valenzuela, the Minister of Defence, Margarita Robles, the Mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero, and the Chief of the Defence Staff, Teodoro Esteban López Calderón.
King Felipe received military honours from the Royal Guard before inspecting the troops, accompanied by the Chief of the Defence Staff, Teodoro Esteban López Calderón; the Head of the Military Household, Eduardo Diz Monje; and the Lieutenant Colonel in charge of the Royal Guard’s honour guard, Rubén García Díez.
At the royal tribute, the King, Queen and Princess of Asturias were greeted by representatives of civil and military authorities.
Before the start of the parade, the royals paid tribute to those who gave their life for Spain. King Felipe and the Princess of Asturias laid a laurel wreath. After a rifle salute, they returned to the royal tribune.
The land parade included 129 vehicles from the Royal Guard, the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the UME and the Civil Guard.
