The Swedish Royal Court has revealed the date of Princess Ines’s christening – and it’s special to her parents.
Princess Ines will be christened on Friday, 13 June – her parents’ tenth wedding anniversary.
Like her brothers before, the Princess will be baptised in the Royal Chapel of Drottningholm Palace.
The Chief Chaplain, Bishop Johan Dalman, and the pastor of the Royal Court Assembly, Ordinary Chaplain Michael Bjerkhagen will officiate the service.
The royal baby will wear the traditional Swedish christening gown, and her name and christening date will be embroidered on the gown after the ceremony.
A reception will be held for guests after the christening with a lunch to follow.
The Royal Court also confirmed that the television coverage would be equivalent to the coverage of the baptism of Prince Julian. Julian’s christening was not aired live. Instead, a summary was aired later in the day.
The family will also pose for photos outside the Royal Chapel after the ceremony. Official photos will be released by the Royal Court in the following days.
