King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway travelled to Holmenkollen to attend the Biathlon World Cup.

Their Majesties watch the start of the event at Holmenkollen on Saturday, 21 March.

The King presented the medals, including a history-making one, to a para-athlete. He and the Queen also congratulated the winners from the royal box.

King Harald presented the Holmenkoll Medal to Nils Erik Ulset with Queen Sonja and Julie Undlien Wisth of the Norwegian Ski Association looking on. Ulset made history with the honour of being the first para-athlete to win. Ulset competed in skiing and cross-country skiing. The medal also went to German biathlete Franziska Preuss.
