To celebrate the 40th anniversary, two historic symbols have been refurbished – the Schengen museum and the ship where the signing ceremony took place. The ship was renamed “Prinzessin Marie-Astrid Europa” by Princess Marie-Astrid. The ship will be anchored by the museum in Schengen to allow visitors a new experience.
The royal visitors made their way through to the refurbished museum to learn about the history of the European Union. The Grand Duke congratulated those involved in the refurbishment.
