The Princess of Orange has appeared in public for the first time since her horse-riding accident. The princess broke her arm, and she underwent surgery.
Princess Amalia joined her father, King Willem-Alexander, in Amersfoort to present the standard to the regiment named after her – The Princess Catharina-Amalia Hussar Regiment.

The King addressed the assembled soldiers and said, “You will get your iron fist back”, referring to the battle tanks that the Netherlands is going to purchase.
Princess Amalia was presented with a brooch featuring the regimental emblem and removed her sling for the official photos with the regiment.
As she was leaving, she told the waiting reporters that she was in pain but that she was okay. She also regrets that she won’t be able to ride her horse again anytime soon.
