It was a family affair for the Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg at the Olympics in Paris.
Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were announced as attendees ahead of the Olympic Games, but the rest of the family surprised many by appearing at events in Paris.
Prince Felix joined his parents with two of his children, Princess Amalia and Prince Liam, and his younger brothers, Prince Sebastien and Prince Louis.
Of course, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, who will be lieutenant representative as of October, was in attendance with his wife, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie.
The family all posed together with members of the Luxembourgish Olympic Team at the Olympic Village.
The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess’s only daughter, Princess Alexandra, also made a surprising appearance with her husband, Nicolas, and their four-month-old daughter, Victorie. The baby was swaddled close to the Princess’s chest at the event at Concorde.
On 28 July, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess opened the Luxembourg House installed at Stade Jean Bouin. They were joined by the Hereditary Grand Ducal Couple and Prince Felix with two of his children.
During the presentation, young Prince Liam could be seen hitting on his uncle, Guillaume’s lap, while Princess Amalia sat with her grandmother.
The family also spent time in the “fan zone” where they ran into their family from Liechtenstein – Princesses Nora and Anunciata; Anunciata is the niece of Grand Duke Henri.
