The Dutch royals have held the annual summer photo call.

King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and their daughters, Princess Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane posed for photos in the garden of Huis Ten Bosch Palace. The photo call was supposed to take place earlier, but had to be moved after Princess Amalia had a horse riding accident and broke her arm.

Afterwards, the family answered some questions from the press. As Princess Ariane turned 18 a few months ago, she now also answered some of the questions. She revealed she would be attending the Opening of Parliament (Prinsjesdag) in September but that no other events had been planned yet.

Her sister, Princess Amalia, answered questions about her accident and said, “If all goes well, I won’t have any permanent damage.” She also revealed that her bachelor’s thesis covered the topic of AI deepfakes and European law. She is still waiting for her grade. About her meeting with US President Donald Trump, she said, “Every meeting was special, including the one with Mr. Trump. It was wonderful for me as a co-host to experience that.”

Her father, King Willem-Alexander, added, “The Netherlands has pulled out all the stops to make it a success. I am incredibly proud of all the people who made it [the NATO summer] possible.”
