King Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida of Thailand have marked the 100th day since the passing of Princess Bajrakitiyabha.
The Princess was the only child of King Vajiralongkorn from the King’s first marriage to Princess Soamsawali. They were divorced in 1991, and King Vajiralongkorn went on to marry three more times.

Princess Bajrakitiyabha died on 11 June 2026 after two and a half years in a coma. She had collapsed on 14 December 2022 while walking her dogs. In May 2026, the Princess developed a stomach infection that affected her blood pressure. She then developed colitis, arrhythmias and blood clots.
The government declared 15 days of national mourning, and on 13 June her coffin was transferred from the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital to the Piman Rattaya Throne Hall in the Grand Palace. The Princess still rests there today, awaiting her royal cremation. This usually takes place months to over a year after death, as it means the creation of a temporary, highly intricate royal crematorium.
Prince Dipangkorn, Royal Noble Consort Sineenath, Princess Sirindhorn, Princess Chulabhorn, Princess Ubolratana, Princess Aditayadorn Kitikhun and Lady Sirikit Jensen were also present at the ceremony.
