Crown Prince Haakon of Norway has begun his four-day visit to the United States.
On his first day in San Francisco, he was joined by Minister for Business Jan Christian Vestre and Minister for Digitization and Administration Karianne Tung. They met with representatives from the US authorities and the business community.
In a speech, Crown Prince Haakon said, “The overarching challenge we are gathered here to discuss is how we can adapt our economies to a greener future. We are both coastal regions with a deep connection to the sea. We have both set bold climate targets. And we know that they cannot be reached without technological development.”
He was joined by several business actors from Norway during a seminar.
Crown Prince Haakon then joined a ferry trip that the water transport authorities had organised. The day ended with a reception of Norwegian and US businesses in Shack15.
