The Princess Royal visited the DP World’s Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, which is the busiest port in the Middle East. While there, she witnessed a demonstration of a container transfer from the ship to the shore. After this, she attended a Women in Shipping and Trading Conference Panel Discussion.
She also opened the new Donnelly Lines facilities at Al-Minhad Air Base. The new facility is named after Sergeant William ‘Billy’ Donnelly, a navigator who died on 14 February 1943 after his aircraft had an oil leak.
At the end of the day, she attended a dinner hosted by representatives from the MtS.
